Business end of the space robot Canadarm2. Those internal snare wires grab a post (with a knobbed end), pull it inside, and then the outer connectors plug in for data, video, power. Canadarm has one of these on each end, so it can walk itself from post to post, like a huge space inchworm. I helped build Canadarm2 onto ISS during my spacewalks.
