Crispy Pie Crust with Vodka! Use vodka in pie crust for a crispy, flakier texture and less shrinkage. Adding a half shot of vodka produces a super flaky dough and the reason is that it develops less gluten in the dough than when adding water. Chilled butter makes it crispy while egg makes it richer.
