LOS ANGELES — The San Jose Sharks selected Prince George goalie Joshua Ravensbergen with the 30th overall selection at the NHL Draft on Friday at the Peacock Theater. The Sharks acquired the first-round pick from Dallas as part of a February trade that sent forward Mikael Granlund and defenseman Cody Ceci to the Stars.

The Sharks found out at the May 5 NHL draft lottery that they would have the No. 2 selection and have now drafted inside the top seven four times since 2021, with Celebrini taken first overall last year, Smith the No. 4 pick in 2023 and Eklund going No. 7 to San Jose in 2021.

Michael Misa became the highest-drafted Saginaw Spirt in NHL history Friday after the San Jose Sharks tabbed Misa with the second pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. The New York Islanders had the first pick and used it on Erie defenseman Matthew Schaefer, and San Jose jumped on Misa to give the OHL the top two picks in the 2025 draft.
