The University of Kansas football team started its “new era” with a bang on Saturday. The Jayhawks dominated Fresno State in the newly renovated David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium and earned a dominant victory. KU coach Lance Leipold liked what he saw from his squad.

The Kansas Jayhawks had an encouraging performance from a defense featuring several newcomers and new leadership at the top.

Fresno State’s top highlight occurred when running back Bryson Donelson caught a dump-off pass and turned it into a 39-yard gain.
