On July 8, Mondelēz Global LLC—the makers of beloved Ritz crackers— recalled its popular Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches after a serious labeling error. This affects snack crackers sold at grocery stores across the country, including major chains like Target, Walmart, and Kroger.
Eight-pack, 20-pack and 40-pack cartons of peanut butter cracker sandwiches are included in the recall, as well as the 20-pack Ritz Filled Cracker Sandwich Variety Pack carton. Outer cartons are correctly labeled and include an allergen advisory statement — it’s the individual wrappers that may be mislabeled.
