The Boston Red Sox have really bounced back from years of mediocrity this season, and a lot of it has to do with their new superstar, Alex Bregman. He became a leader for the team, and his bat and glove have proved invaluable.

The New York Mets could emerge as a suitor for Boston Red Sox superstar Alex Bregman if Bregman opts out of his contract at season's end.

Signing Bregman was a huge win for the Red Sox, as the star third baseman agreed to a three-year, $120 million deal in February. But that deal included an opt-out after each of the first two seasons, and after making his third American League All-Star team this year, Bregman seems likely to re-enter free agency.
