Fourteen years after an ice storm marred the one and only North Texas Super Bowl, weather is poised to impact the playing of a fairly significant college football game there.

The National Weather Service placed the Dallas-Fort Worth area under a winter storm warning for Thursday and Friday.

The Cotton Bowl will go forward at the originally-scheduled time despite previous concerns about inclement weather.
