What a pivot by WWE. After officially announcing that New Orleans would be the host of WrestleMania 42 next April, the company has reportedly scrapped those plans.

WrestleMania is gearing up to return to Las Vegas next year after the smashing success of this year’s edition held in April at Allegiant Stadium. The WWE is eyeing a return to Sin City, after the WWE informed New Orleans on Thursday that it will not be holding WrestleMania at Caesars Superdome in 2026 as originally planned,

WrestleMania 41 was held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev., from April 19-20 and drew a combined attendance of 117,380 between the two days of the show. WWE also sold out the smaller T-Mobile Arena with their “RAW” show on April 21.
