Buncombe County's Metropolitan Sewerage District is replacing its largest pump station, next to French Broad River Park.

$5.3 million in storm water drainage projects, including a sump pump discharge improvement program creek maintenance program and drainage, creek and detention improvements.

County officials have been researching the sewer flow for the treatment plant near Ohio Turnpike Exit 1 to determine which options would be best for improvement.
