With the Detroit Lions' 2025 season getting further into the rearview mirror, it's time to evaluate the season that was with final position grades.

The second half of Pro Bowl Games does include a football game, but it is no longer a game of tackle football. Now it’s a 7-on-7 flag football game, punctuated by four more skills competitions: EA Sports Madden NFL 25 Challenge, Punt Perfect, The Great Football Race and Tug-of-War.

Lions left tackle Taylor Decker is headed to his first Pro Bowl. The team announced Monday that Decker will replace teammate Penei Sewell. After withdrawing due to injury, left tackle Taylor Decker will step in and travel to Orlando, Florida for this year's annual competition. It will be the veteran's first appearance. This year, Brain Branch and Jahmyr Gibbs earned their first Pro Bowl nominations.

Lions right tackle Penei Sewell will not participate in the event this weekend in Florida due to an injury, the team announced on Monday. He’ll be replaced by the Lions left tackle, Taylor Decker, who will be making his first Pro Bowl appearance in his ninth NFL season.

The Detroit Lions ' offense played at a historic level in 2024. Led by coordinator Ben Johnson, the group lead the league in scoring and finished second in yards. Johnson has since departed to become the head coach of the Chicago Bears, and the Lions will have new leadership for the group under head coach Dan Campbell this season.

The Lions had seven players make the initial roster for the Pro Bowl — quarterback Jared Goff, running back Jahmyr Gibbs, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, center Frank Ragnow, Sewell, safety Brian Branch and punter Jack Fox — and had 11 players named as alternates.
