PUBG: Battlegrounds is finally ready to ditch last-gen consoles. On Wednesday, the developer said that the game will transition to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 13. Although the battle royale has been playable on current-gen consoles all along,

Xbox One and PS4 support for PUBG will be shut off "during live server maintenance on November 13, 2025," according to the announcement post on PUBG's official website. The server maintenance will also make enhancements to the current-gen versions, including upgraded resolution and frame-rate options.

PUBG isn’t alone in moving on from last-gen hardware. Earlier this year, The First Descendant announced it would no longer support its Xbox One and PS4 versions, despite only launching in 2024. As of June 19, 2025, the game is no longer playable on either Xbox One or PS4.
