SZA's 'SOS' returns to No. 1 on the albums chart (two years after its release) thanks to it's long-awaited deluxe reissue, 'Lana.'

SZA’s SOS album has reclaimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart following the release of its LANA Deluxe version. According to Luminate, the singer’s SOS Deluxe: LANA moved 178,000 album-equivalent units in its first week on the chart, with 105,000 of those sales attributed to songs included on the album.

SZA’s acclaimed album SOS has soared back to the top of the Billboard 200 chart, reclaiming the No. 1 position nearly two years after its debut. The resurgence comes on the heels of the Dec. 20 release of its deluxe edition, SOS Deluxe: LANA, which added 15 fresh tracks to the original 23-song lineup.

SZA 's sophomore album SOS has landed back on top of the Billboard 200 thanks to the release of the Lana deluxe edition, Billboard reports . According to Billboard, "all versions of the album, old and new, are combined for tracking and charting purposes" and listed under the SOS title.

The original iteration of the expanded edition of the album saw 15 new tracks added to the front end of SOS, making for a total of 38 songs already. Billy Corgan will definitely be keeping an ear out on January 6.

This is the album’s 11th week at No. 1, and its first on top in nearly two years, since March 4, 2023. Since the new chart is dated January 4, SZA has the first chart-topping album of the new year. Even if the 15 new songs introduced with Lana had been released as a standalone album instead of as an SOS deluxe,
