KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid sounded downright defiant Monday when asked about his team's dwindling playoff hopes, which took a hit not only last week amid a Thanksgiving loss to the Cowboys but over the weekend when other results didn't go their way.

The 2025 season has been a year of one step forward, one step back for the Kansas City Chiefs. It was the latter against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving.

Currently sitting with a 6-6 record and placing in third in the AFC West division behind both the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers, the Chiefs have to win every remaining game to feel they have a chance at making the playoffs.

Chiefs left tackle Josh Simmons suffered a wrist injury during the Chiefs’ Thanksgiving game against the Dallas Cowboys. Simmons left the game, and NFL insider Ian Rapoport said the injury was “significant.” Rapoport reported Thursday evening that sources said Simmons suffered a dislocated and fractured wrist and left the stadium in a cast.
