LSU Tigers star pitcher Kade Anderson threw 130 pitches, struck out 10 and helped the team hold on for Game 1 against Coastal Carolina in the Men's College World Series.

For the second time in three years and the eighth time in program history, LSU is a national champion in baseball. The Tigers downed Coastal Carolina 5-3 Sunday afternoon to cap an undefeated run through the College World Series and climb back to college baseball's mountaintop.

LSU is pursuing its eighth national baseball championship in school history, while Coastal Carolina won the title in 2016.
