Alaska Airlines' first Boeing 787-9 has officially been spotted in its new colors. It's been photographed by speedbirdhd on Instagram and other sources leaving the paint shop at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport in the new Alaska Airlines Aurora livery.

Tata Group-owned Air India has taken delivery of its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner since privatisation, marking a key milestone nearly four years after the airline returned to private ownership, The Hindu reported. An official said Air India completed the title transfer of the aircraft at Boeing’s Everett factory in Seattle on 7 January 2026.

The aircraft is exclusively offered with Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines. While the 787 program has been troubled with quality issues as well as Trent 1000 reliability problems, the A350 program has been relatively problem-free. Still, the Boeing 787 is by far the more popular of the two programs.
