The World Series is mercifully over and that means there are some big decisions coming up fast for the Atlanta Braves this offseason.
Sometimes, history repeats itself. Former Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman became a prime example of that in the early hours on Tuesday morning (on the East Coast, at least). In the bottom of the 18th inning of Game 3 of the World Series, he belted a walk-off home run to dead center field to lift the Dodgers to a 6-5 win.
Olson also played all 162 games for the fourth straight year, which spans his entire Braves tenure. The Braves acquired the 6-foot-4, 225-pounder from the Athletics on March 14, 2022 and signed him to an eight-year, $168 million extension the day after, per Spotrac.
