Bears backup quarterback Tyson Bagent has proved his worth — especially with new head coach Ben Johnson. Bagent earned a reported $10 million two-year deal from the Bears, in a significant raise.

According to The Athletic, Bagent is the first Bears quarterback to sign a contract extension since Jay Cutler did so in January 2014. Wednesday was also, of course, massive for Bagent and his family.
