Filmmaker Edgar Wright and actors Guy Pearce and Lou Diamond Phillips took to social media to express their grief over the Sunday death of actor Terence Stamp.

Terence Stamp, the English actor best known for playing General Zod in two of the “Superman” movies and for his role in “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert,” has died at 87. Stamp received an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe award for “Billy Budd.
