While far from an uneven franchise’s worst, “Jurassic World Rebirth” has a peculiar sense of pacing and a grim endurance-test tone.

“Jurassic World Rebirth” has nods to the past even as it cuts a new future with new characters. It’s a sort of heist movie with monsters that’s set on the original decaying island research facility for the original, abandoned Jurassic Park.

While the previous 'Jurassic World' films were disposable but were rescued by some cool chase scenes and effects, the latest lumbers and sinks like a dinosaur in a tar pit.
