HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Rain is coming to Eastern Kentucky as we head into the evening hours.

We will enter a First Alert Weather Day late tonight as snow will cause slippery to snow covered roads on the Thursday morning commute.

Scattered showers and possibly a few storms are expected by mid-morning through early evening. The greatest chance of rain will be in the afternoon, with the greatest risk for strong to severe storms north, over Tennessee and Kentucky. The highs will remain unseasonably warm, with low to mid-70s.

We still have two chances for snow coming up. The timing has not shifted all that much. The first round of snow will be Wednesday night into Thursday morning. It’s becoming more likely that the predominant precipitation will be snow.
