Charges have been dismissed against a Texas doctor accused of illegally leaking to the media that a hospital was secretly performing transgender surgery on kids.

U.S. District Judge David Hittner accepted prosecutors’ request to get rid of the four felony counts against Dr. Eithan Haim, 34, who was accused of accessing patient records from Texas Children’s Hospital under false pretenses, The New York Post reported.

Federal prosecutors have dropped the case against a Texas doctor who called himself a whistleblower on transgender care for minors and was accused of illegally obtaining private information on patients who weren’t under his care.

The decision by federal prosecutors came at a time when President Trump was rolling back protections for transgender people.
