Dave Parker, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2013, will be inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame next month in Cooperstown.

The 1979 season is also when the Pirates won their last World Series title. During their playoff run, Parker batted .341 with six RBI in 10 games. In a 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds in Game 2 of the NLCS, he drove home the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th.
