Gary and DeeAnn Knetsch were camping directly next to the Guadalupe River with their son, Jake Moeller, his wife, Megan and their five-year-old daughter, Harley. Gary, DeeAnn, Jake and Megan all lost their lives. Harley is still among the missing. Both families lived in Canyon Lake but have ties to the Houston and Mont Belvieu areas.

KERRVILLE — As the massive search for flood victims entered its seventh day, local officials on Thursday said the death toll in Kerr County has risen to 96. Officials have recovered 96 bodies in Kerr County as of 8 a.m. Thursday, with 60 of those adults and 36 children, said Jonathan Lamb, a spokesman with the Kerrville Police Department.
Kerr County is looking at how much warning was given before the flood and how to prevent the next disaster, while donations pour in for flood victims.

Chapter presidents representing UT's University Panhellenic Council organized a candlelight vigil to honor those impacted by the devastating floods in the Hill Country. Dozens attended, including many who know someone who has been impacted in some way. KVUE spoke with a UT senior from Kerrville who was there when the flood hit.
